Walking Through Postpartum Depression

I gave birth to my third child at age 33. Immediately after I arrived home from the hospital, I knew something was wrong. I was experiencing emotions that I did not have during my first two pregnancies. And thus my saga with Postpartum Depression began. I found myself crying because family and friends did not visit, give me showers and gifts as they had during my first two pregnancies. . I felt alone and abandoned by everyone. On July 4th, a local woman my age died, leaving behind a 6 month old child. I became convinced that I was going

Clinical depression and depressive symptoms are undoubtedly prevalent among nursing home residents. Depression in nursing

It’s funny because I still don’t think my life was that bad at the time. I was a young mother of three small children and never thought I even had enough time to be depressed. I really believe this is a chemical imbalance that caused me to go down this path. I withdrew from family and friends, lost interests in hobbies, and wanted nothing more than to curl up in bed and
