My favorite thing about Glee is the way it lifts my spirits and gives me a light-hearted musical escape from reality. The teen melodrama, sarcastic one-liners, and catchy pop performances add up to a stress-free, enjoyable hour of television. However, last night’s episode was disappointing to say the least. The light teen drama was replaced with heavy topics like deceased parents, alcoholism, eating disorders, and relationship problems between a father and his feminine son. For one episode, the depressing topics were overwhelming! The high point of the episode came when, once again, the ditzy blonde Cheerio provided comic relief
