Stress and Anxiety: Examining Causes, Symptoms and More

What types of behaviors/symptoms become more profound when stress levels reach a level where the individual is no longer able to respond in a “normal” fashion? Stress levels can increase to the point where the person affected will begin certain abnormal responses, some physical, some emotional and some cognitive. There may be physical symptoms like sweating, tension, headaches and increased heart rate. Emotionally, we begin to dread events and feel panic. Cognitive effects usually focus on fear and overwhelming stress can lead to certain psychological and physical disorders. These disorders have the ability to significantly disrupt our every day “normal”
