Remeron, or Mirtazapine, is a tetracyclic antidepressant used to treat depression or anxiety. Mitrazapine is quite different from the popular serotonin reuptake inhibitor antidepressants. Serotonin based anti-depressants tend to be prescribed first, since they have the reputation of being safe and effective.
