My Journey Into and Through Depression

Imagine this: It is 4:00 in the afternoon. You are laying in bed, and want to shower. You look at the door to your room, and it looks like the way is knee-deep in congealing oatmeal. You picture yourself slogging through the oatmeal. You picture yourself doing so over and over. You are already exhausted, and feel hopeless about ever managing to drag yourself to the door. This is the inside of depression. From the outside, you may look lazy, or, to be kinder, simply drained of energy. But from the inside, you are surrounded by obstacles that taunt you
