Animals are a lot like humans, and, like us, they can sometimes get depressed. Depending on what kind of pet they are, they can show a variety of symptoms; they may sleep a lot, stop eating, act grumpy and quit playing, lose weight or even appear to be physically ill.   Depression in pets can be caused by a variety of factors.
